MOSCOW, Aug 2 Scientists at the University of Texas at Houston (USA) named seven healthy habits that will help avoid stroke. In a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, scientists monitored 11.5 thousand people aged 45 to 64 years. The analysis showed that people who adhered to these habits reduced the risk of stroke by 30-43%. Scientists say that a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation and weight loss can minimize genetic risks. Maintaining normal blood pressure, controlling cholesterol, and lowering blood sugar levels also contribute to stroke risk.
