The Ministry of Internal Affairs asked to transfer the rector of Shaninka Sergey Zuev from the pre-trial detention center to house arrest

Investigators filed a petition with the court to transfer the rector Shaninka Sergei Zuev under house arrest. This was reported to the Moskva agency by the press service of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow.

The meeting was scheduled for August 3.

68-year-old Zuev has been in jail since November 2021 on charges of two episodes of particularly large-scale fraud while working in Shaninka and RANEPA (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code).

At the end of June, Vladimir Mau, an economist and rector of the RANEPA, was placed under house arrest in this case.
