The Leninsky District Court of Penza has given 45-year-old English teacher of the Olympic Reserve School Irina Gen a five-year suspended sentence in the case of fake news about the army motivated by political hatred. This was reported on the website of the court.
Gen was found guilty under paragraph «e» of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code. Judge Lyudmila Zhuravleva also banned her from teaching for three years.
The judge ruled that the teacher, “experiencing a persistent dislike for the president and the supreme commander-in-chief,” spread “deliberately false information” about the army, telling students that the Russian military shelled a maternity hospital in Mariupol, planned to overthrow the president of Ukraine, started a war in the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR in 2014 Malaysian Boeing.
On March 18, Irina Gen, explaining to the students of 8 «b» why they would not be able to go to competitions in the Czech Republic, made an anti-war speech.
