CHEBOKSARY, Aug 3 Maxim Yakushev became the winner of the Russian championship in the 3000 meters with obstacles, which takes place in Cheboksary. Yakushev overcame the distance with a score of 8 minutes 21.95 seconds. Silver went to Eduard Batyrshin (8:23.64), a bronze medal went to Konstantin Plokhotnikov (8:30.20). In women, Olga Vovk became the champion of Russia at the same distance with a result of 9 minutes 9.29 seconds. Second place went to Ekaterina Ivonina (9:11.39). Anna Tropina closed the top three (9:53.98). The Russian Athletics Championship will end on August 5th.
