MOSCOW, Aug 9 Former Manchester United and Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero will continue his career at home in the Boca Juniors team, according to the official website of the Argentine club. The last club of the goalkeeper was the Italian Venice, for which he played from October 2021. Last season he conceded 33 goals in 16 Serie A matches. «Last week I was training at Racing and Boca got interested in me. I think this is a step forward in my career. It was one of the best decisions of my life, I came to the most important club in Argentina. Physically I am healthy and ready for new challenges,» said Romero. Romero is 35 years old. As part of the Argentina national team, he played 96 matches and won the gold of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing with the team. He is also a two-time America's Cup silver medalist (2015, 2016) and a silver medalist at the 2014 World Championships. With Manchester United, Romero won the FA Cup and Super Cup, the League Cup and the Europa League.
