MOSCOW, Aug 8 Turkish football club Galatasaray announced on its website on the transition to the team of the Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira and the Belgian striker Dries Mertens. Torreira moved to the Turkish club from the London Arsenal. According to Transfermarkt, the deal amounted to 6 million euros. Mertens joined Galatasaray as a free agent. In the summer of 2018, Torreira moved to Arsenal from Italian Sampdoria. After that, the Uruguayan midfielder played on loan for Atlético Madrid and Italian Fiorentina. Mertens spent most of his career at Italian Napoli. Previously, the striker played for the Dutch PSV and Utrecht. As part of the Belgian national team, he became the bronze medalist of the World Championship in Russia.
