MOSCOW, 10 Aug. SKA striker Dmitry Yashkin reacted to the scandalous statements of two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek. Earlier, Hasek said that his compatriot Yashkin's performance in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) poses a danger to the Czech Republic and its citizens.
" I'm going to the KHL to work — to do what I love and play hockey. Sport has nothing to do with the current state of affairs in the world. All the guys who were going to play in the KHL — Shulak, Cherveny, Yordan got hate and unpleasant messages. But that is the situation now. Would you like to answer something to Hasek? No, let him say what he needs", — quotes the words of Yashkin "Sport-Express".
Last season Yashkin spent in the club of the National Hockey League (NHL) Arizona Coyotes, missing most of the championship due to injury. He played 12 matches and made one assist. In the summer, the striker signed a contract with SKA for a period of one season.
