MOSCOW, Aug 20 Russian driver Daniil Kvyat starts 36th in the race 25th round of the 2022 season of the National Association of Stock Car Racing (NASCAR) as part of Team Hezeberg. In qualifying, the Russian lapped the track at Watkins Glen in 1 minute 13.129 seconds, which is 2.652 seconds slower than the best result of the session, demonstrated by Chase Elliott from Hendrick Motorsports. 2007 Formula One champion Finn Kimi Raikkonen (+1.347) set the 27th time in his debut qualifying. In his first race in the NASCAR Cup Series in Indianapolis on August 1, Kvyat missed the finish line, also qualifying 36th. Kvyat is the most successful Russian driver in Formula 1 history. He has three podiums, one fastest lap and 202 points. The Russian was a Formula 1 driver from 2013 to 2017 and from 2019 to 2020.
