The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested Svetlana Timofeeva in absentia in the case of illegally obtaining information related to state secrets. RBC was told about this in the press service of the court.
Timofeeva passes under paragraph «a» of part 2 of article 283.1 of the Criminal Code, the punishment for which provides for up to eight years in prison. The full name and date of birth of the girl, May 18, 1981, match the data of Svetlana Timofeeva, known under the pseudonym Lana Sator. She leads an Instagram about abandoned buildings, bomb shelters and military installations — more than 250 thousand people have subscribed to her.
Last week, Timofeeva, photographer Mikhail Zorin and Ukrainian citizen Fyodor Alpatov were detained at an abandoned military factory in Albania. Yesterday the court decided to keep them in custody until the end of the investigation into the case of distribution of secret military information and illegal possession of weapons. All three are facing jail terms under 20.

According to the Albanian police, Zorin entered the territory of a military plant near the city of Gramsci on the evening of August 20 and tried to photograph objects located there. When spotted, he «sprayed two soldiers with a nerve spray.» Near the plant, the police stopped the Chevrolet car, in which Timofeeva and Mikhailov were.
According to social networks, Timofeeva visited Albania twice. In March 2019, she entered another arms factory in the country — in the city of Polichan. In 2018, Timofeeva published a photo from the Kuchova air base. The digger has several books of her own with photographs of abandoned objects. One of them was released in Sweden in June 2019 — it contains photos of buildings from the socialist era from Albania.
