MOSCOW, Aug 25 Hockey players of Sibir Novosibirsk beat Avangard Omsk in the match of the Nikolai Puchkov pre-season tournament in St. Petersburg. The meeting ended with a score of 2:1 (1:0, 1:0, 0:1). Valentin Pyanov (5th minute) and Vyacheslav Osnovin (29) distinguished themselves among the winners. Avangard have the puck on account of Reed Boucher (44). The tournament will end on August 28. Severstal (Cherepovets), Sochi and St. Petersburg SKA also take part in it. The new KHL season starts on September 1st.
