File photoMOSCOW, Aug 29Norway will send about 205 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of natural gas, reports AFP, citing Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.»Ukraine asked Norway to take the lead role in providing access to energy. We respond and propose to use two billion kroons (about 205 million euros — ed.) so that Ukrainians can buy gas this autumn and this winter,» the agency quotes the prime minister's statement. It is noted that this package, disbursed from a total aid of NOK 10 billion (approximately one billion euros) already pledged to Ukraine by Norway will go to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will be in charge of gas purchases.
