Lavrov noted that the choice of the Russian city of Kazan to convene a forum dedicated to youth policy in Muslim states indicates the versatility of Russia's ties with the OIC member countries, the broad international public support for this interaction. The Kazan Global Youth Summit is being held in Kazan from 27 to 30 August. It is attended by the Ministers of Youth Affairs and Sports of the OIC countries, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Consuls General of the OIC countries, leaders of youth organizations, representatives of international organizations involved in youth policy, opinion leaders, young entrepreneurs and representatives of the scientific community. In total, more than 300 people from 50 countries came to the summit, including Algeria, Bangladesh, Benin, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Niger, Canada, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, UAE, Oman , Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others.
