The Petrozavodsk City Court of the Republic of Karelia has ordered a ban on certain actions from local resident Ruben Pogosyan, who is accused in the case of “fake news” about the army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), according to the Network Freedoms project.
He was banned from using the Internet and other means of communication, attend public events, leave Petrozavodsk and communicate with other participants in the criminal case, except for the investigation and defense. The court denied the investigator's request to limit the time the suspect left the house.
Poghosyan was detained yesterday after a search of his house. A criminal case was opened because of the posts on VKontakte about the murders in Bucha, Mariupol and Kramatorsk. He did not admit his guilt.

As Poghosyan said at the trial, the security forces left him a bruise on his neck with a gun. People in civilian clothes entered the rooms without his permission. He himself was in handcuffs at that time.
“I began to resent why they go there without my presence and without witnesses, then one employee who put pressure on my neck with a gun tried to influence me with shouting and swear words,” he said.
Pogosyan is a former prisoner of IK-9 in Petrozavodsk. He told Mediazona about torture in a penal colony. After that, the head of the colony, Ivan Savelyev, accused Pogosyan and journalist Alla Konstantinova of slander, but the Investigative Committee twice refused to open a case. Later, Savelyev himself became a defendant in the case of beating a prisoner.
