
MOSCOW, Aug 30 Seven-time world champion Alexander Izmodenov dies at the age of 84 , according to the website of the Bandy Federation of Russia. The causes of death of the former hockey player of the USSR national team are not specified. «The Bandy Federation of Russia mourns and expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Alexander Georgievich,» the message says. Izmodenov won seven times as part of the USSR national team world championship (1957, 1961, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971). At the club level, he represented the Sverdlovsk SKA, in which he became the champion of the USSR eight times. At the end of his career, he worked with SKA youth teams for several seasons.
