Earlier it was reported that the American investment fund RedBird Capital Partners became the new owner of Milan. He replaced another American structure — the Elliott Management hedge fund, which will remain a minority shareholder and retain seats on the club's board of directors. The deal is valued at 1.2 billion euros. According to the source, RedBird is set to announce its new partners on Wednesday, when it is expected to formally take control of the club from its current owner. Elliott Management acquired the team in 2018 after last owner Li Yonghong was unable to repay a €32 million debt to the fund.
