MOSCOW, Aug 30 Russian national football team midfielder Denis Cheryshev may continue his career in the club «Venice» from the Italian second division, reports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Cheryshev's last club was the Spanish «Valencia», which he left after the expiration of the contract in the summer of 2022 and has since been in free agent status. According to the source, Cheryshev has already arrived in Venice for negotiations with the leadership of the club of the same name. Cheryshev is 31 years old, previously he played only in Spanish teams — Real Madrid, Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia, in which he won the Spanish Cup. As part of the Russian national team, the midfielder played 33 matches (12 goals, 5 assists), reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 home world championship with the national team. After three rounds, Venice is in 11th place in the Serie B standings.
