MOSCOW, 29 Aug. Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters Vadim Nemkov and Usman Nurmagomedov will hold title fights at the Bellator 288 tournament, which will be held in Chicago (USA) on November 18, according to the promotion's Twitter page.
Bellator champion in light heavyweight champion Nemkov will fight American Corey Anderson in the Grand Prix final. In their first meeting in April, Nemkov was cut in the third round after an illegal headbutt from Anderson, due to which the fight was declared a no contest.
Usman Nurmagomedov will fight Bellator lightweight champion Patricky Freire of Brazil.
Nemkov has 15 wins and two losses in MMA. Anderson has 16 wins and five losses. Nurmagomedov is the cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who has 15 wins in 15 professional fights. In the last of them in July, he defeated the American Christopher Gonzalez. Freire has 24 wins and 10 losses, winning the vacant title by defeating Ireland's Peter Qualley at Bellator 270 last November.
