The authorities of the Trans-Baikal Territory began to form the engineer-sapper battalion «Daursky»; Volunteers who agreed to participate in the war on the territory of Ukraine are promised a one-time payment of 100,000 rubles. This follows from the decree of the regional government.
According to the document, only residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory have the right to conclude a short-term contract «on military service in the zone of special military operation on the territories of Ukraine, the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic.» Both the volunteers themselves and their relatives can receive a lump sum payment in the event of the death of a contractor.

According to the publication of the region's official portal, volunteers are also promised to be paid «monetary allowance» of 100,000 rubles a month and 240,000 rubles a month if they perform «special tasks.» In addition, those who signed a contract for participation in the war are entitled to a «full social package» and insurance.
The list of requirements for potential military battalion «Daursky» indicates age over 18 years, the absence of an unexpunged or outstanding criminal record. Also, the volunteer should have «a desire to benefit Russia and the Trans-Baikal Territory.»
