According to investigators, two young guys aged 19 and 21, as well as their 17-year-old friend, relieved themselves in the Eternal Flame in Nevinnomyssk . Then they lit cigarettes from the flame and threw flowers lying nearby at him. A case was opened against the young men for the rehabilitation of Nazism (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code).
The case of the teenager, whose name is not reported, was singled out in a separate proceeding, in June he was sentenced to a year of imprisonment in an educational colony under the same article on the rehabilitation of Nazism.
In August, a resident of Kerch was charged with vandalism (Article 214 of the Criminal Code) because of dancing on the pedestal of the Eternal Flame and a wreath thrown into the flame.
In December 2021, a court in Moscow appointed four years in a penal colony for 19-year-old Matvey Yuferov, who urinated on a stand with a portrait of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
