
MOSCOW, Sep 1 Formula 1 team driver Red Bull Max Verstappen was awarded the Order of Orange-Nassau, the national order of the Netherlands, awarded by the monarch of the country for special services to the state, the athlete said on his Twitter. The order has been awarded to citizens of the Netherlands since 1892. Since 1996, the honorary award has been divided into six classes. «The appointment as an officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau is a moment of incredible pride. It happened very suddenly for me and at a fairly early period in my career. I want to thank my family and loved ones, as well as Red Bull» , which has become a second family to me. We have achieved this together,” wrote Verstappen. Verstappen is the winner of the “Formula 1” in the 2021 season. The Dutchman leads the current championship with nine victories in 14 Grand Prix events.
