MOSCOW, Sep 2 Russian striker Alexander Kokorin remains on the bench for Aris for the home match of the second round of the Cypriot Football Championship against Olympiakos from Nicosia, according to the club's Telegram channel. On Wednesday, the Italian Fiorentina announced the transfer of Kokorin to Aris on loan. For the Russian, this match could be a debut in the new team. The meeting will be held in Limassol and will begin at 19:00 Moscow time. Previously, Kokorin did not get into the Fiorentina squad to participate in pre-season training camps in Austria and Spain. Later, the striker was not included in the team's application for the Serie A season. Kokorin moved to Fiorentina in January 2021 from Spartak Moscow. The contract of the Russian with the club was concluded until 2024. Last season, he played six matches in the Italian championship, while he never came out in the starting lineup.
