US, Japanese and German ambassadors John Sullivan, Toyohisa Kozuki and Geza Andreas von Geyr came on Saturday to the farewell ceremony for ex-USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev in the Russian capital, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports. Sullivan laid a bouquet of scarlet roses at Gorbachev's coffin , bowed and crossed himself. After that, the American diplomat expressed condolences to the relatives of the last Soviet leader. The ambassadors of Japan and Germany also laid flowers at the coffin of the politician. After the farewell ceremony, Gorbachev will be buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in the Russian capital. The first and last president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, died on August 30 after a serious and prolonged illness, he was 91 years old.
