In her mood, she was balancing somewhere between the army and the infectious diseases hospital. Absolutely all Olympic facilities, including hotels and a village for athletes, are surrounded by a blank fence. Going beyond it is a strict Chinese «not allowed». It is allowed to move along a miserable part and only on special transport that runs along a strictly designated route. True, there is a legend that one British journalist still managed to leave the «bubble» and even order cappuccino in a coffee shop before he was discovered and caught by the Chinese police, but the legend is silent about the further fate of the fugitive, and this already looks like a fairy tale about Bluebeard — nothing good, in general. Mornings for all of us began with a prophylactic stick in the nasopharynx, for eye aversion called PCR test. Positive and negative results were thrown out by the tested with the mockery of Russian roulette — after four «clean» ones in Moscow, the first test upon arrival in Beijing could easily turn out to be «dirty». And then, even in the absence of symptoms of the disease, welcome to full quarantine. And if one of those with whom you recently communicated passed the “dirty” test, you get into the list of “contacts”. These are also certain limitations. In general, when positive tests began to mow down one member of the delegations and journalists after another, the state of anxiety and tension became the main one in the whole gamut of feelings we experience. It came to the point that their leaders forbade representatives of different teams to communicate with each other in order to minimize the likelihood of infection. This, of course, did not make any sense — only the illusion of control over the situation. Under such conditions, it would be easiest to close yourself off from everyone, stop communicating and helping each other. This situation in Beijing 2022 is a great show of what one act of a Russian skater is worth, which will be discussed further.
