U.S. Ambassador John Sullivan has completed a diplomatic rotation in Russia, The Washington Post reports, citing a State Department source. «Ambassador Sullivan's departure is scheduled and part of a regular diplomatic rotation. Russia, engaging in some of the most important bilateral relations in the world at an unprecedented time,» said US Foreign Minister Sullivan, who has served as ambassador since February 5, 2020. Prior to that, the diplomat was the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States (2017-2019), and in April 2018, he served as the head of the department for about a month. On September 4, the American diplomatic mission announced that he had completed his work in Russia and left Moscow.
