"One of the vehicles transporting civilians ran into an improvised explosive device. According to preliminary data, 35 people were killed and 37 injured, all of them are civilians", the governor said.
The incident occurred between the cities of Djibo and Burzanga in the north of the country in an area controlled by jihadist militants.
