According to CCTV footage, on the night of April 4, a 51-year-old Muscovite jumped three times from a running start onto a light box and bent it. Two guards were watching what was happening — they did not try to stop the man and did not call the police, for which they were later fired.

Later, the Muscovite was detained. The police reported that he «was intoxicated and acted out of hooligan motives.»

During the investigation of the case, the man fully compensated for the damage in the amount of 76 thousand rubles.

In August, a court in Cheboksary freed local residents from punishment in a case of vandalism for damaging an installation in the shape of the letter Z. They were given court fines of 20,000 rubles each, and earlier they were fined 30,000 rubles for “discrediting” Army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
