Go to mediabankUN, Sep 7 Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya expressed doubt that it is possible to negotiate with Kyiv on the issue of ensuring the safety of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. «I am not sure that the Ukrainians are capable of negotiations — as well as on many other issues. They do not want to negotiate about anything,» Nebenzia said, answering a question about the prospects for achieving agreements on some demilitarized zone at the ZNPP. At the same time, he stated that he did not know what IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi meant by the security zone around the ZNPP and to what extent it would improve the plant's security. «Today, the Russian military is protecting the plant,» Nebenzya added.
