ROME, Sep 8 The Italian Foreign Ministry has received positive news about the condition of Italian freelance journalist Mattia Sorbi, who was wounded near Kherson and is working on his return, sources in the department told reporters. «The Foreign Ministry is in constant contact with the journalist: he received medical assistance, we have positive news about his state of health. he has free contact. We are working to ensure that he returns safely to Italy as soon as possible,» the Italian Foreign Ministry said. Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military had saved the life of an Italian journalist who was covering military actions by the Ukrainian troops. Sorbi was admitted to the intensive care unit with multiple shrapnel wounds and is receiving the necessary medical care. His state of health is stable, the ministry said.
