Russian figure skater Egor Murashov received permission to change citizenship from the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) back in May 2021, the organization said. Earlier, a source said that the International Skating Union (ISU) does not give Murashov permission to apply for Swiss sports citizenship, but the final decision on this issue has not yet been accepted. «He received permission back in May last year. That is, he has not been our athlete for a year and a half,» the FFKKR said. Murashov, 22, announced his intention to play for Switzerland before the 2021/22 season and managed to take part in the championship of Switzerland in 2022, where he took second place. He is a five-time participant in the championships of Russia. Murashov does not have Swiss citizenship.
