The Football Union of Bosnia promised to do everything to disrupt the match with Russia

MOSCOW, Sep 9Azmir Husic, a member of the executive committee of the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that he would do everything in his power to achieve the cancellation of the friendly match between the national team of the country and the Russian team. The meeting between the national teams of Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina should take place on November 19 in St. Petersburg. «I will do everything in my power to prevent the meeting from taking place. I have already contacted some members of the executive committee and I am sure that I can convince my colleagues that we do not need a match with Russia at the moment,» Husic was quoted by the Bosnian portal SportSport. «While Russia is under the sanctions of UEFA and FIFA, we must behave as expected of us. Everyone is crazy, but we are smart? Should we spoil relations with other federations or at least with the Western world because of the match with Russia», — added the functionary. The vice-president of the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Irfan Duric, also spoke out against holding a friendly meeting. «I was against this decision, I asked the executive committee to act differently,» said Duric, quoted by the Bosnian edition of Dnevni avaz. Russian national teams and clubs have been suspended from participation in all international competitions for an indefinite period.
