MOSCOW, Sep 11 Czechs Barbora Krejcikova and Katerzhina Sinyakova became the winners of the pair competition at the US Open, the final Grand Slam tournament of the season, held on hard courts in New York. Kreychikova and Sinyakova, seeded under the third number, defeated American Katie McNally and Taylor Townsend in the final with a score of 3: 6, 7 :5, 6:1. The match lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes. Kreychikova and Sinyakova were 26 years old. They won the US Open in doubles for the first time. In total, the Czechs won their third Grand Slam title in pairs this season and the sixth in their career. Previously, they once won the Australian Open and twice won Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Kreychikova and Sinyakova are Tokyo Olympic champions in pairs.
