MOSCOW, Sep 12, Alexander Govorov. The Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) is not received a request from Russian biathlete Darya Virolainen regarding the transition to the Finnish national team, said the head of the press service of the RRF Sergey Averyanov. Earlier on Monday, three-time Olympic champion Anfisa Reztsova announced that the issue of her daughter Darya Virolainen's transfer to the Finnish national team was «resolved.» The day before, Virolainen took part in the Finnish Summer Biathlon Championships and took second place in the individual race. The biathlete has Russian and Finnish citizenship. “There was no request from Virolainen in the RRF,” Averyanov said. Virolainen (nee Reztsova) is 33 years old, she has gold and bronze medals at the European Championships. At the stages of the World Cup, she twice became the silver medalist. Her 26-year-old sister Kristina Reztsova, who won silver and bronze medals at the last Olympics in Beijing, plays for the Russian national team.
