The Ministry of Education has included the war in Ukraine in the history course for high school students. The corresponding order was published on the official portal of legal information.
The requirements for students in the basic course of Russian history will include “understanding the causes and effects <…> the reunification of Crimea with Russia, a special military operation in Ukraine and other major events of the 20th — early 21st century. The “geopolitical crisis of 2022” will also be added to the general history course.
In June, it became known that recognition of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR was included in the course of modern Russian history for ninth graders.
