The Kaliningrad Regional Court placed in custody three policemen accused of abuse of power (points «c», «d», «e» of part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code) and falsification of evidence (part 3 of Article 303 of the Criminal Code). According to the decision to initiate a criminal case, which Mediazona has at its disposal, three police officers in the Central District of Kaliningrad — Igor Tsurikov, Alexei Slobodchikov and Maxim Denis — “In order to improve performance in the service,” carfentanil was planted on two residents of the city. According to investigators, earlier the police seized 700 bundles of this substance from a minor Artur Sokolovsky, who has not reached the age of criminal responsibility. The surname of one of the women whom the police tried to plant drugs on is also Sokolovskaya.
Tsurikov, Slobodchikov and Denis were taken into custody until 12 November.
