MOSCOW, Sep 16 Moscow football club «Spartak» agreed on the appointment of Briton Paul Ashworth for the post of sports director, according to «Championship» citing a source. It is noted that in the near future Ashworth will fly to Moscow to conclude a contract. Previously, Ashworth held a similar position in Rostov in the 2004/05 season. In two matches, he took part as an acting head coach instead of Gennady Stepushkin, who was undergoing treatment. Last season, he worked as a technical director at the English Brighton. Previously, Lukoil acquired 100% of Spartak's shares. Leonid Fedun, who owned the club since 2004, resigned as president, member and chairman of the board of directors. In July, the post of sports director of Spartak left the Italian Luca Cattani.
