File photoMOSCOW, Sep 17 Janis Sarts, director of the NATO Strategic Communications Center (StratCom) in Riga, arrived at a conference in Warsaw wearing a Ukrainian brand socks with an inscription insulting to Russians on his ankles. The ceremony was also attended by the minister National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak, so photos with Sarts appeared on the official Twitter account of the Polish department. The account of a Ukrainian clothing manufacturer also wrote about the incident, which decided to use this case as free advertising. Sarts himself in the comments confirmed that he was wearing these socks at the meeting. At the end of August, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the Baltic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic had now become leaders in Russophobia. He stressed that sound voices are already being heard in the rest of Europe about their readiness to meet Russia halfway, but new whims of the Europeans cannot be ruled out.
