File photoSEUL, Sep 20 Vice Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Social Democratic Party of North Korea Pak Yong Il passed away, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a wreath to his grave on Monday, the Central «Park Yong Il, with ardent love for the Motherland and the nation, selflessly fought for the prosperity and development of our state, the independent reunification of the country,» the KCNA report says. A wreath on behalf of Kim Jong-un was laid at his coffin September 19. The Social Democratic Party of Korea, one of the three officially existing parties in the DPRK, was established in 1945 and, according to experts, is controlled by the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. Pak Yong Il was born in 1966. Previously served as Vice Chairman of the Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Country, dealing with inter-Korean relations, participated in the negotiations of the North Korean Red Cross with Seoul, led from 2013 to 2015 negotiations on the reunification of families separated during the Korean War of 1950-1953. In June 2018 of the year, he also attended high-level talks at Panmunjom on the inter-Korean border to discuss steps to implement the agreements reached during the April 27 summit between Kim Jong-un and then South Korean President Moon Jae-in. From August 29, 2019, Park Yong Il became Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Parliament of the DPRK.
