The Russian Football Union (RFU) is satisfied the fact that the head coach of the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Petrakov was sentenced for discriminatory statements, the press service of the organization reported. Earlier, the RFU sent a letter to UEFA, which draws attention to the fact that Petrakov violates the organization’s code of conduct, calling for the Russians to be banned from participating in international competitions, and also telling about his desire to join the armed forces of Ukraine. On Tuesday, the president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), Andriy Pavelko, said that Petrakov was fined by UEFA. «The RFU has not yet received official notifications from UEFA and FIFA following the results of the appeal related to the discriminatory statements of the head coach of the Ukrainian national team. If the information about the warning and the penalty is true, we are satisfied with the fact of imposing a penalty as such.
