MOSCOW, Sep 23 North Macedonian football player Goran Pandev announced his retirement at the age of 39 years. «A wonderful chapter of my life is ending. I take with me an incredible wealth of emotions. I am happy that I shared them with you,» Pandev wrote on his Instagram page (Meta activity (social networks Facebook and Instagram) is banned in Russia as extremist). During his career, Pandev played for the Italian Inter, Spezia, Ancona, Lazio, Napoli, Genoa and Parma, as well as the Macedonian Belasitsa and the Turkish Galatasaray. Together with Inter, he won the championship, the Cup and the Super Cup of the country, the Champions League and the club world championship. He holds the record for the North Macedonia national team in appearances (122) and goals scored (38). In 2021, Pandev became the oldest goalscorer from a field goal in the history of the European Championships, scoring against the Austrians at the age of 37 years and 322 days.
