MOSCOW, Sep 23 Russian Deputy Sports Minister Odes Baisultanov announced his appointment to the post of head of the operational headquarters of the department for the implementation of the powers of federal executive bodies during the period of partial mobilization. «The tasks of the organized operational headquarters include interaction with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and executive authorities in the field of physical culture and sports, the formation of sports teams of our country and subjects in conditions of partial mobilization, issues of the whereabouts of athletes and the circumstances of their departure outside the country. Subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation are also actively involved in the work of the headquarters,» Baisultanov wrote on the Telegram channel. On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russians on the situation in the Donbass and during the special operation. He stated that Russia would support the decisions of the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and announced partial mobilization in the Russian Federation, calling it a decision that is fully adequate to the current threats.
