MOSCOW, Sep 23 The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on its official website stated that the number of convictions based on the database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory (LIMS) has reached 138. On Friday, the second meeting of the WADA Executive Committee in 2022 was held in Sydney. Between May and the end of July 2022, 17 convictions were handed down. An increase in the number of sanctions is expected as many cases are still pending. The statement notes that WADA has received an update from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) case. The organization is closely monitoring RUSADA to be able to assess whether it meets all the conditions for reinstatement at the end of the biennium.
