
MOSCOW, Sep 27 Colombian boxer Luis Quiñones was put into an artificial coma after injuries obtained during the fight, reports RDS, citing a statement from the Barranquilla clinic. On Saturday, Quiñones met Jose Muñoz in a fight in the weight category up to 63.5 kg. In the eighth round, the 25-year-old boxer collapsed from his opponent's blows and was taken to the hospital. Quinones was operated on and placed in an artificial coma for 48 hours with «a very modest prognosis for his life.»
