MOSCOW, Sep 28 Fahad, President of the Saudi Al-Hilal Football Club bin Nafel said the club was in talks with Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo, but the transfer did not take place due to a ban on signing newcomers. In July, AS reported that an unnamed team from Saudi Arabia had offered Manchester United for the Portuguese million euros. The striker was supposed to earn 250 million euros under a two-year contract. «Yes, we were in talks with Cristiano Ronaldo. The problem was not money or principles. Al-Hilal can invite world stars, but we were prevented by the decision to ban the registration of new players.
