MOSCOW, Sep 28 summons from the military registration and enlistment office, there are a number of athletes in the regions who have received summons, said the president of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maigurov.
"Two days ago, during the Russian Championships in Chaikovsky, I specially held a meeting with athletes dealt with agenda issues. At the moment, according to the information that the SBR has, the members of the Russian team have not received summons. In a number of regions there are athletes who have received subpoenas, we are taking steps to help them", said Maygurov, who is currently at the international sports forum "Russia is a sports power" in the Kemerovo region.
Partial mobilization has been announced in Russia since September 21 by decree of President Vladimir Putin. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is needed to control the 1,000-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation.
