The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, introduced a high alert regime in areas bordering Georgia and banned cars from other regions of Russia from entering the republic.
According to the document, only cars registered in North Ossetia, Georgia and self-proclaimed South Ossetia will be able to enter the republic. Also, the restrictions do not apply to those who come to boarding houses and sanatoriums in the region, and cars driven by residents of North Ossetia.
