We strongly oppose such statements. We hope that FIDE (International Chess Federation) and other organizers will adhere to the slogan Gens Una Sumus ( «We are one family») and the principle «Sport is out of politics», — quotes the words of Filatov on the FSR.FIDE website March 21 and disqualified Karjakin for six months because of his support for a special operation in Ukraine. Last week, the disqualification came to an end, but the chess player said that he did not plan to play at international competitions under a neutral flag.
