The first among Moscow doctors to receive a reservation from mobilization were employees of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center for Hematology, Oncology and Immunology and the Central Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Administration, where high-ranking officials are treated. Meduza's sources in medical facilities report this.
According to the interlocutors of the publication, from the Rogachev National Medical Research Center and Central Clinical Hospital under the President almost all doctors received booking. Only nurses, nurses, bioinformaticians, and technical staff were not provided with it — according to Meduza, they have already begun to receive summons to the military registration and enlistment office, and this mostly happened right at their workplaces.
«Doctors of any kind are very much needed.» What we already know about the mobilization of medical workers
At the same time, the director of one of the Moscow clinics and an employee of the Rogachev Center, in a conversation with Meduza, emphasized that so far none of the medical workers have been mobilized.
Physicians are subject to mobilization, since they have military cards indicating their rank and military specialty. Nurses are most often privates, doctors are lieutenants. However, the current decree on mobilization does not spell out how and in what order they will be called up.
Head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Dmitry Khubezov reported that doctors who have experience in participating in in combat operations and providing emergency assistance.
“Of course, male paramedics who can pull a person out of the battlefield, that is, they are strong enough. <…> If we are talking about doctors, then these are first of all resuscitators, anesthesiologists, trauma surgeons, ”Khubezov explained.
Khubezov and his deputy Badma Bashankaev claimed that no more than three thousand doctors and medical workers would be mobilized in Russia. In addition to the above specialists, we are also talking about graduates of military medical universities. The head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection also mentioned that narrow-profile specialists and doctors from “remote settlements, where there are only one or two people”, will not be mobilized.
