The Iskitimsky District Court of the Novosibirsk Region sentenced former police officer Denis Kalinin to nine years in a strict regime colony for killing his transgender girlfriend. This is reported by Axioma.
The prosecutor asked him for 12 years in prison in a murder case (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code). Kalinin pleaded guilty. He was also ordered to pay a million rubles to the mother of the deceased Victoria Basakovskaya as compensation for non-pecuniary damage.
