Archival photoSIMFEROPOL, Sept. 30 Alexei Katerinichev, the first deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, was killed in an attack by Ukrainian troops, RIA Novosti was told in the regional military administration.»First deputy head of the Kherson region administration for security, Alexei Katerinichev, died in as a result of a missile attack by Ukrainian troops on the center of Kherson,» the administration said. Katerinichev was born in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. Graduated from the Border Academy of the FSB. He took up a post in the Supreme State Administration of the Kherson region in August. Prior to that, he worked as the first deputy head of the Leader Center for Rescue Operations of Special Risk. The Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly shell Kherson, mainly from American HIMARS systems. So, on September 16, the building of the regional administration became the target. Then three people died, 13 were injured. Another blow, on September 21, hit civilian targets, including the fire department. And one of the missiles hit the pier of the ferry across the Dnieper in the city center.
