Head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maigurov said that he would recommend to the RBU executive committee to support the candidacy of Stanislav Pozdnyakov in the presidential elections of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). On Thursday, Pozdnyakov, who has been in charge of the ROC since May 2018, told reporters about his intention to run for president of the organization for a new term. The new leadership of the ROC will be elected on December 20 at the annual Olympic meeting. «The decision should be made by the executive committee of the RRF when this issue arises.
